After Successful 2022 Event, 200,000+ LED Light Show Extravaganza Returning to Shawnee Park This Holiday Season

OneWest Winter Wonderland drive-thru experience to be held Dec. 15-17; Will feature holiday music, displays and seasonal beverages

The holiday spirit in Louisville will kick into high gear Dec. 15-17 as OneWest, the community development nonprofit committed to elevating our entire city through commercial development growth in the West End of Louisville, holds its second annual Winter Wonderland, a drive-thru holiday experience and light extravaganza featuring over 200,000 LED lights at Shawnee Park. OneWest Winter Wonderland will take place Dec. 15-17 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Car lines will form at 4501 W. Broadway.  Once again, the event is free of charge and the entire city is invited to partake in the holiday cheer.  Beverages will also be available for purchase.

“The feedback last year was just tremendous,” said Jessica Jackson, Shawnee resident and OneWest Board member.  “Seeing all the smiles and delivering joy to the community was really fulfilling.  The OneWest board definitely wanted to bring Winter Wonderland back and promote another season of peace. We had visitors from most zip codes in the county and we’re expecting up to 7,500+ cars this year. It’s all about bringing people together.”

Sponsorships and volunteer opportunities are still available by emailing info@onewest.org.  Donated candy may be delivered to the OneWest office during normal business hours (M-F 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) until December 13th, when volunteers will begin stuffing candy bags. Current sponsors include: Churchill Downs, Norton Healthcare, RWBaird, and several individual community supporters.
